Kathy Fortier’s responsibilities includes orientation of new employees and on-going education for all staff in mandatory topics such as choke rescue, fire safety, resident rights and abuse prevention. She participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement, conducting audits to assure there is compliance to standard work practices. She also provides MatrixCare^® electronic health records education and support to nursing staff, and is a resource to staff as needed. Her prior nursing experience was in a hospital emergency department and she served as case manager at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, Bradley campus.
