How you can help:
Time, Talent, and Treasure

We encourage everyone to consider becoming a part of our family at Jerome Home and Arbor Rose. Whether you are a resident, a family member, or a neighbor, we urge you to step up your involvement. Our community, including the residents and the staff, relies on your support to continue the important work of helping individuals face the challenges of rehabilitation or aging.

We can use your time. Whatever you can give, from an hour a month to several days a week, we invite you to consider becoming a volunteer. We have opportunities for you to work one-to-one with residents or in group activities. From pet therapy to serving lunch, there is a wide variety of “jobs” that need doing.

Your talent is a gift that keeps on giving. Whether you are a musician or a ceramics maven, a yoga instructor or a whiz on the phones, we can use your talents to enhance the lives of residents and their families. We guarantee that your life will be improved with each smile that you help bring out! If you have a talent for fundraising or a rolodex full of potential donors you’d like to contact for us – Welcome to the team! Do you have a flair for writing or a passion for photography? We can use your help!

Each individual is a treasure, and our donors are among our very special friends. We have existing funds at each facility that support building enhancements, recreational activities, and staff education. We have specialty funds, such as the Butterfly Passages Program to assist families with end of life care. Gifts in honor or in memory of someone are a special way to commemorate an occasion while helping another individual have a better life. We invite you to support initiatives for Low Vision Screening, CNA Education, and naming opportunities associated with building enhancements. Other ways of sharing your treasure can include stock transfers, bequests, and naming opportunities.

There are many ways to give, and all of them bring benefit to the donor as well as the recipient. We hope you will consider the many ways you can contribute, and contact us to talk about your philanthropic or volunteering goals.

  • Donations to purchase a brick or support the purchase of benches for our “Pave the Way” Courtyard.
  • Naming opportunities for building improvements and upgrades, including replacement of resident furniture and renovation of common spaces.
  • Sponsorship of scholarships for Good Life Fitness programs that benefit residents and members of the community.
  • Contributions to the Jane Haze Memorial Pet Therapy Fund help defray the cost of training therapy dogs and bring other animal-related programs to residents.
  • Several educational funds create opportunities for members of the staff to improve their training and climb the “career ladder” at Jerome Home. Specialty courses and community-wide retreats to improve resident care can be supported with your donations.

For more information about any of these programs or ways to donate, please contact Lisa Connolly, Executive Director of Jerome Home at 860-229-3707.
